Mobile Strategy

Your organisation's stakeholders (customers, users, employees, suppliers etc.) each have their own specific needs and interactions. Our strategy process will help you analyse and understand functionality vs. need, then provide a clear direction of where mobile applications will have the most effective impact within your organisation.

From here, the opportunity can be fully realised, and the foundation for a formalised vision and prioritised roadmap and vision is laid down. You will need this grounding within a constantly evolving and challenging mobile world.

With mobile technology applied carefully implemented within your organisation, a visible impact can be achieved to your bottom line. Data and technology are a means to an end, but not the end itself.

User Interface (UI) Design and User Experience (UX) Development

The initial phase of any app development process is answering the question "what is the purpose of the app?" from a company and user perspective. This might be obvious, but it requires a process to specify and clarify how to conceptualise the functionality so that it will be relevant for both the user and your company. This includes both proposing features based on what is possible form a technical perspective and what the users will want and expect.

At this stage, creating KPIs for the app is key. If the strategy and concept is already outlined, we use our extensive experience gained from app projects over several years, to provide feedback on what will work and what will not, as well as the pitfalls that need to be addressed or considered. The goal of the UX and design phase is to deliver an app that is intuitive, easy to use and stunningly beautiful.

We start this phase starts with an interactive prototype of the app, encouraging discussion regarding the different UX choices and functionality. When the flow of the app is clear, we can analyse the different design style within the app-category to determine how to differentiate and stand out. We then start the pixel-magic and create a stunning mobile design while still being true to your existing brand identity and guidelines. All key screens are rendered, pixel perfect with interaction responses and animations.

Android Apps vs. iPhone Apps

Even though the iPhone has a smaller global market share, revenues from the iPhone's App Store is far higher than on the Google Play Store (for Android). The iPhone App Store generates 85 to 95% of all revenue from applications. Business Insider notes that the Play Store has generated $330 million while iPhone's App Store has generated $4.9 billion!

The Apple App Store launched in 2008, but did not include many of the features today. Each update provides new opportunities for business owners. Smartphone operating systems have exceeded what anyone could have imagined.

The Android platform utilizes Java, which is a common programming language. While versatile, it is different than Apple, which utilises Objective-C language. The App Store requires products uploaded to it App Store to be approved by Apple themselves before publication.

The differences are vast, but the bottom line is the same. If both platforms will cost the same, doesn't it make sense to utilize a $5 billion dollar market?
