Chris Labrooy
Summer Streets is a series of typographic illustrations designed for the New york summer streets festival produced by Chris Labrooy. The festival is all about using New Yorks streets to play, walk, bike, and breathe, getting outdoors, having fun and enjoying NYC’s environment. Nearly seven miles of NYC’s streets are opened for the festival over three Saturdays during August. Check out the rest of the series or visit the Summer Streets festival website for more info. |

Why do we always want what we cant have?
It always seems that as soon as I realize I cant buy something I want it more than ever. Never more has the case been so than with these "Sin Toys"... it gets worse, not only cant you buy these toys, they aren’t even real! Damn you Fontomass and your excellent 3D renderings. |

Zombies have hearts too...Another awesome production from the guys at Media Design School in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been watching their work for a while now and become quite a fan. Rotting Hill is a zombie love story, brilliantly shot, well acted, funny and the effects... well, there are certainly a few ’how on earth did they do that’ moments. Paper Skillz
My first blog post of the new year and to be honest, it’s a good one! This is the work of Cheong-ah Hwang, a Korean based artist who takes the paper and card I would normally use to draw on, print on or mock up with and turns it into amazing multi-layered pieces of artwork. Its not just the technique she applies to her work that is impressive but the sheer amount of detail that goes into each piece. You can check out more of her work on her Flickr page. |
