The rise and fall of Yahoo
I love a good info graphic, more for the style and design than anything else. An info graphics job is to convey facts and figures on a subject in a clear and organised format, which can be anything from US oil usage from the last decade to how manly is your drink to how expensive the Death Star would be to actually build ($15.96 Septillion in case you were wondering). Once in a while I actually pay attention to the information being served and found this to be some pretty cool info about Yahoo. The artwork is pretty large so you will have to View it here. |

Why do we always want what we cant have?
It always seems that as soon as I realize I cant buy something I want it more than ever. Never more has the case been so than with these "Sin Toys"... it gets worse, not only cant you buy these toys, they aren't even real! Damn you Fontomass and your excellent 3D renderings. |

SuddenlyAs I continue to learn and experiment more in Adobe After Effects I come across new and inspiring tips and techniques from some awesome people. I have recently been having fun with layered compositions, cameras and particle generators on 2d photographs to give it a 3d feel, great fun! If you have absolutely no idea what I am on about then you must check out this video created from nothing more than photography, a lot of Photoshop work and after effects... with a nice track from edIT (a Brilliant favorite) to finish it off. |

Zombies have hearts too...Another awesome production from the guys at Media Design School in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been watching their work for a while now and become quite a fan. Rotting Hill is a zombie love story, brilliantly shot, well acted, funny and the effects... well, there are certainly a few 'how on earth did they do that' moments. Real Angry BirdsIt had to happen some time didn't it and if it was going to be anyone it was going to be T-Mobile. T-Mobile have teamed up again with Saatchi & Saatchi to help sell more phones in Europe. How do they do it, by tapping in to the Angry Birds phenomenon and creating a life size version of course. A huge set was built at the Plaça Nova de Terrassa in Terrassa, Spain. It involved extras, flying birds and people in a big crane blowing up the pigs. |
